The AINA Story

Founder and CEO of AINA was born to be an innovator, a native woman to the Pacific islands, inspired by her father, a carpenter and master craftsman, surrounded by a rich culture and a deeply rooted love for the land and all its majesty. Since her father’s passing she treasured memories and many the skills her father had cultivated in wood working. Inspired by his craftsmanship, she felt a longing to create something lasting to make an impact in the world by sharing the unique heritage of her roots. AINA was founded on the principles of craftsmanship and eco friendly mindedness inherited from a sacred legacy to sharing it with the world.

It all began with having access to fallen Koa wood, native only in Hawaii, and the opportunity to manufacture these beautiful watches from an exclusive source on the Big Island of Hawaii. AINA was founded in 2017 on the principle that the land, or aina in Hawaiian, gives us everything. Our journey began in harmony with the aina, the sacred land, and together, we have crafted a simple yet profound collaboration – the land provides the exquisite wood, and we transform it into timepieces that ground people in the beauty of simplicity and connect them to the essence of the moment.
